Trash, Recycling, and Graffiti: Tips from Environmental Services

Free bin replacement, the Tucson311 and Recycle Coach apps, graffiti removal, and other City services that residents can use.

At the October 8 board meeting, Jose Montijo and Steve La Turco of the City of Tucson's Environmental and General Services Department walked neighbors through the services available to residents.

Good to know

  • Damaged trash or recycling bin? The City will replace it for free. Call (520) 791-3171.
  • Brush & Bulky collection comes twice a year. Look up your collection dates on the City's Brush & Bulky page.
  • Graffiti can be reported for removal through Tucson 311.
  • FoodCycle is the City's composting program.
  • Zero Waste Collection Events are held twice a year. Organizations take items such as books and school supplies that can be reused in the community.

Two apps worth installing

  • Tucson311 lets you report problems and request City services from your phone.
  • Recycle Coach shows your collection schedule and what goes in the blue bin.

Both are listed on the City's mobile apps page. For recycling questions, see the City's guide, Know Where to Throw.
