Ways to help

Come to a board meeting

The board meets the second Wednesday of each month, except July and December (in April, the Annual Meeting takes its place), usually at the Ward 6 Council Office. Anyone can attend, and every agenda ends with an open floor.

Join a committee

Parks & Beautification, Events & Programming, Communications & Outreach, and Finance & Governance are all open to residents, not just board members.

Help with neighborhood events

Hand out candy at Halloween in the Park, help with the spring or fall cleanup, or lend a hand with the annual meeting.

Volunteer for an event

Water the chicanes

Neighbors keep the plantings in our traffic chicanes alive through Tucson summers. This year nine neighbors set up a summer watering schedule, and a few minutes a week makes a real difference.

Adopt a chicane

Work on safety with neighbors and TPD

The Alvernon-Fifth Crime Coalition meets the fourth Wednesday of each month with Tucson Police.

Run for the board

Directors are elected each April. Tell the secretary before the Annual Meeting, or announce your candidacy at the meeting before voting.
